Checking the trucks back in, checking their returns etc.

Attending to customers for the call and collect

PODing the invoices

Assist in occasionally loading the trucks (not physically but being a checker)

Assist in supervising the bulks (checking of the bulks)

Assistant to warehouse manager

Assist in submitting reports daily

Assist in supervising all staff

Requirement:

Must have advanced experience with SAP

Must be able to have logic thinking

Must be able to work independently

Salary:

Market related, depending on experience.

Well known Fruit farm situated in the Langkloof requires a Production Manager to manage the field operation, field equipment and resources to ensure that set production of the crop and standard targets are met in accordance with approved budget and operational plan.

KPI’s include

· Plan, assign and delegate responsibilities to subordinate staff.

· Plan utilisation of relevant vehicles / implements and other equipment.

· Plan, monitor and co-ordinate estate production schedules.

· Prepare annual budget and crop program for field and infrastructure.

· Prepare 5 year plan for citrus production.

· Ensure effective management of the field finances.

· Take accountability for all expenditure for the field budgets.

· Monitoring of costs must be maintained to ensure no over expenditure.

· Active participation role in daily field management.

· Monitor and assist with management and planning of all estate production activities in the field.

· Monitor productivity and effectiveness of all staff on the production department.

· Ensure that communication channels are kept open.

· Ensure sound relations between staff at all levels.

· Manage, train and motivate all staff.

· Maintain discipline at all levels.

· Prepare and finalise monthly and quarterly reports.

· Ensure administrative procedural policies are implemented and carried out.

· Ensure the security of company assets.

· Ensure sound relations on the Estate.

· Assist and help with personnel planning, development and assessment.

· Take responsibility for, and ensure that, all field safety are adhered to.

Minimum qualifications for the position

· Matric or equivalent

· Appropriate Agriculture Qualification / at least 4 years’ experience in Stone Fruit Production

· Course in control of pests and deceases in fruit crops will be beneficial.

· 5 years in growing fruit crops within the Stone fruit industry.

· Financial management of crops and yields.

· Budget control and crop forecasting.

· Excellent communication skills - fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)

· Must have a solid understanding of modern farming methods and systems

· Must have solid understanding of the local and export quality standards
