About the Area:
The Southern Cape is fast becoming the golfing mecca
of South Africa. World class layouts like Fancourt,
"Oubos" and Sparrabosch, compliment the many beautiful
courses in the area. There are many scenic drives
and walks in the area.
The Southern Cape is a nature lover's paradise, boasting
some of the richest floral biodiversity in the world, many
private Game Reserves and excellent Bird
Watching.
Take the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe (a charming steam train) from
George to Knysna through some of the most awesome scenery
in South Africa. The train crossing the Kaaimans River Bridge
is one of the most taken photographs. |

Towns within an hours drive include
Plettenberg Bay,
Knysna, George, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.
All the major National Airlines land at George Airport,
which is less than 15 minutes away.

Climate:
In general, the climate is typically Mediterranean, with
warm, dry summers and mild, moist winters.
The summer temperatures rise from a pleasant low of 18°C
to a heartwarming 27°C. In winter you can expect the mercury
to drop to a mild 10°C at night - and rising to a comfortable
21°C by day.
Glentana also has the reputation of being the second least
windy beach in the world! |
